About

An agency built from the inside out.

Teton Estate Co. was founded on the conviction that the best placements come from people who have done the work themselves.

A note from David Dahlin.

For nearly a decade, I've had the privilege of managing private estates in Jackson Hole. The work has taught me that running a great household is, fundamentally, a question of people. It comes down to finding individuals who care about the property, respect the family, and treat the role as a craft rather than a job.

I started Teton Estate Co. because I saw a gap. The homeowners I knew were spending too much time sifting through mismatched candidates, and the most talented professionals I worked with often didn't know how to find the right roles. The agencies that existed weren't local, and they didn't understand the rhythms of life in this valley.

There was another pattern, too. Many homeowners default to property management companies in place of dedicated staff, and the result is often a property that feels less cared for. Costs add up. The personal touch is missing. Turnover within these companies means a property rarely has one person who knows it deeply, takes pride in it, and treats it as their own. A great household runs on commitment, and commitment is hard to find when the people responsible change every season.

Teton Estate Co. is an attempt to address both. Every search begins with a conversation, every candidate is vetted personally, and every placement is treated as the start of a long relationship, not the end of a transaction. The goal is one trusted person, in the home for the long term, who knows it as well as you do.

A valley like nowhere else.

Jackson Hole is, in many ways, its own world. From the in-town residences of Jackson, to the quiet roads of Wilson, the slope-side homes of Teton Village, the working ranches around Moran, and the open pastures of Kelly, the properties here are extraordinary, the seasons are demanding, and the people who run these homes need to understand both the practical realities and the cultural texture of life in the Tetons.

We focus exclusively on this region because it's the region we know. Our network of estate managers, property managers, house managers, caretakers, and ranch managers has been built one introduction at a time, and our candidates are largely people we've worked alongside or come to know through years of operating here.

Our principles.

Whether you're hiring or seeking a position, the conversation begins here.
